Grosse Pointe Shores Improvement Foundation
About Us
39 years and counting!
All of our members are your neighbors.
In 1984, a group of Grosse Pointe Shores residents established an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
Its mission: Personal Participation for Community Enhancement. Through the efforts of the group, that mission continues on today.
We meet at 7:00 pm at City Hall on the following Mondays. We'd love to see you there:
-
Sept. 11
-
Nov. 13
-
Jan. 15, 2024

Events and Projects
Over $1.7 million spent in improvements and beautification projects for our city!
Through your generous donations and gifts, we have been able to fund so many projects around our fabulous city...
-
The park splash pad, pavilion, playscape, new tennis, basketball and pickleball courts, barbecue
grills, playground equipment, kayak staging pad, and paved river walks... -
The Schroeder Field House and Vernier bell tower...
-
Over 1,000 tree plantings, landscaped medians, shoreline garden scapes, and cast iron light posts...
The list goes on, and yes, the Grosse Pointe Shores Improvement Foundation did all that and more!

We'd love to have you as a member, a trustee, or both!
We rely on your membership each year to provide the funding for our efforts--important projects that might not otherwise be included in the city budget and yet are critically important to maintaining property values, desirability, and quality of life in the Shores. And to top it off, your donations are tax deductible.
